Misty Coolidge was crowned United Service Ambassador, 2021
at the Even Hotel Ballroom in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 18, 2021.
As the First Runner-up to Mrs. USA 2021, she obtained the second highest score in the Mrs. USA Pageant, and was therefore awarded the United Service Ambassador title, with the understanding that if for any reason Mrs. USA is unable to fulfill her duties, she would take her place.
She resides in New Gloucester, Maine with her husband and soulmate Peter deBear, their three little ones, Eva & Caden (Age 6) and Grace (Age 4) and two rescue labradors Bruno and Anna. A peek into her life includes being a stay-at-home mom, the owner of two successful wedding businesses, Coolidge Family Farm (a wedding venue where she gets to celebrate LOVE for a living) and Maine Mixologists (a mobile bar service). She also manages five properties, restored a rundown chapel in Gray (renamed Coolidge Chapel), redeveloped land behind her Farm and designed and added her rental Cottages. When she's not being a serial entrepreneur, she serves on many Boards including Gray/New Gloucester MSAD 15 School Board, Gray/New Gloucester Development Corp. (where she mentors and supports local businesses), serves on the Husson University's Board of Visitors, President of Kappa Delta Phi NAS, Kappa Lambda, Alumnae Association, member of 100 Women Who Care of Southern Maine, the International Society of Female Professionals, and proud supporter of the Coolidge Foundation (did we mention she's related to Calvin Coolidge?).
Throughout her 26 years of serving her community in numerous ways, one constant cause has been fighting hunger throughout the State of Maine. Growing up she was raised by a single mom who worked hard to provide for her and her siblings, but she recalls her mom utilizing food stamps, the national WIC program, making trips to the local bread store to get 'yesterday's bread at discount, and she knows the feelings of insecurity and embarrassment that comes from needing to stand in the free hot lunch line at school. For those reasons and so many others, Misty created her "Helping Hands for Hunger" mission to crush hunger. She spends her spare time at her local Good Shepherd Food Bank, hosts fundraising events to fight hunger at her Farm and Chapel, and started her own 5K for Hunger just to name a few.
As your United Service Ambassador, Misty's mission will expand countrywide through the national Feeding America organization where she'll visit food banks across the USA sharing her story and helping to get food into hungry bellies. Her immediate destinations include New York, California, Nevada, Chicago, and Georgia. With 43 million Americans (including 13 million children) fighting hunger across our country the need is greater than ever and she cannot wait to get started.
